Our Chapter History
The East Cobb Chapter of National Charity League, Inc. got its start thanks in part to the United States Postal System. The founding president mailed her application to a sister chapter on March 3rd, 2013. The application had less than five miles to travel to reach it’s destination, and yet it arrived on March 20th, five days after the due date. The rules stated that any application arriving after the due date could not be considered for membership. The soon-to-be President of the yet to be formed East Cobb Chapter quickly followed up with the National Charity League, Inc. Headquarters to find how to start a new chapter and found a few good friends to step up and say, “Let’s do this together!” The result was the East Cobb Chapter which was formally formed on July 9th, 2013 with 25 dedicated and hardworking founding Patronesses and 27 founding Ticktockers.
